Man Struck, Killed By Commuter Rail Train Between Wellesley, Natick: DA

A man has died after he was was struck and killed by a Commuter Rail train on the Wellesley/Natick line, the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office reports.

Emergency crews responded to the train tracks along East Central Street, between Wellesley Square and Natick Center, just after 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, the DA's Office said.

Upon arrival, the man in his 50s was pronounced dead at the scene. Initial investigation suggests the man was hit by an outbound train from South Station to Framingham, the DA's Office said.

Wellesley Police said the incident impacted all rail traffic in the area and several trains were canceled as a result.

No other information was released. The investigation is ongoing.
